    The graph shows the cost of sending parcels of different masses. Tracey wants to send two parcels to a friend. One parcel weighs 400g, the other weighs 1.8 kg. How much cheaper is it to send them as one parcel rather than 2 separate parcels?
    400g cost $1.20
    1.8kg costs $2.40
     Find the cost of each parcel sending them separately
    total cost = $2.40 + $1.20
    = $3.60
    find the total of the two separate costs
    T = 0.4kg + 1.8kg
    = 2.2kg
    find the total weight of the two of them together
    Cost of 2.2kg = $2.80 find the cost of a 2.2kg package
    $3.60 – $2.80 = $0.80 Find the difference in price
    ∴ Cheaper by 80 cents
